Represents Viasat, a major satellite television broadcaster of Modern Times Group (an international entertainment broadcasting group), in one of the biggest disputes over the alleged infringement of authors and related rights in Lithuania (2015–present);
Represented the Lithuanian Government, in co-counsel with law firm Shearman & Sterling (Paris office), in large-scale arbitration disputes against Russia’s gas giant Gazprom before the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) in the arbitration case. This case was initiated by the Republic of Lithuania against Gazprom (claimed amount: over EUR 1.5 billion) for applying unjustified gas tariffs when supplying gas to Lithuania due to changes in the gas price formula that were made in violation of the terms of the agreement on the privatization of the national gas company Lietuvos Dujos (2012–2016);
Represented the Lithuanian Government, in co-counsel with law firm Shearman & Sterling (Paris office), in large scale arbitration disputes against Russia’s gas giant Gazprom before the Permanent Court of Arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules in the arbitration case. This case was initiated by Gazprom against the Republic of Lithuania in relation to its plans to split the gas sales and transmission ownership of Lietuvos Dujos as part of the Europe Union’s drive to force dominant energy companies to improve access for competitors (2012–2015);
Represented the Lithuanian Government, in co-counsel with law firm Shearman & Sterling (Paris office), in large scale arbitration disputes against Russia’s gas giant Gazprom before the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the arbitration case. This case was initiated by Gazprom against the Republic of Lithuania in connection with an investment dispute on tariffs of the Kaunas Combined Heat and Power Plant (2012–2014);
Represents the Lithuanian Government, in co-counsel with law firm Mannheimer Swartling, in large scale disputes against Russia’s gas giant Gazprom before the Supreme Court of Lithuania in the case where the Ministry of Energy of Lithuania, as a minor shareholder of Lietuvos Dujos, requests the court to initiate the investigation (probing) of Lietuvos Dujos operations in order to evaluate the decisions of its management bodies in relation to gas pricing policy (2011–present);
Successfully defended UNIVERSAL PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS CORPORATION, a nutrition supplements manufacturer, in cancellation of a competing trademark that was similar to the client’s reputed trademark ANIMAL. The case required collecting evidence back from 1997. Both the court of first instance and the court of appeal upheld the client’s position and cancelled a similar trademark (2014);
Participates in advising Viasat AS, a unit of Viasat Broadcasting, the major free and pay television operator in Scandinavia and the Baltic States, in cross border satellite transition, in relations with consumers regarding cross-border satellite broadcasting, also gives advice on issues on cross-border neighbouring rights protection (2008–2013);
Consulted Avon Products Inc. and its subsidiary UAB Avon Cosmetics, a producer of cosmetics and perfumery products, in executing different business contracts: distributions agency, supply, warehouse establishment agreements, etc. (2012);
Participated in advising Mars Incorporated, the biggest food manufacturer in the world, in respect to the revision and amendments of standard agreements (supply, services, agency, etc.) (2012);
Participated in consulting venture capital fund LitCapital in expanding its investments’ portfolio in high-tech start-up company UAB Brolis Semiconductors. The deal involved a unique technology mastered by Brolis Semiconductors, which led to a breakthrough in the development of world-record long-wavelength mid-infrared semiconductor and quantum cascade lasers of unique specifications (2012);
Advised and consulted AB Pieno Žvaigždės, one of the biggest milk products producers and exporters in Lithuania, in relation to the development of new technologies in manufacturing milk products. Services consisted of consultations, drafting of agreements and representing the client in the negotiations with partners for joint development cooperation. Advised the client in several projects, ranging from creating new packaging technologies and design to a agreement on joint research in the field of microorganisms in milk business (2012);
Consulted SIA Adidas, a subsidiary of one of the biggest international sports wear manufacturers Adidas GROUP, on franchising and drafted a franchise agreement for all the Baltic States (2011).
