Raivis Znotiņš is a lawyer of TGS Baltic Banking and Finance, Insurance practice groups. He practises also in the fields of M&A, corporate law, commercial law, insolvency and legal protection, as well as real property. He has been practising in law office TGS Baltic since 2015.
Previously Raivis gained vast experience working in Baltic International Bank for 10 years. As from 2008 he as the member of the credit committee of the bank participated in adoption of decision on the crediting transactions. Since 2005, being the lawyer of the bank, Raivis ensured legal support to the bank in such areas as client crediting, interbank agreements related to crediting transactions, trust operations with crediting elements, servicing escrow accounts, trade financing, letters of credit, documentary encashment, issuing bank sureties (warranties), issuing and servicing of payment cards and credit cards, claim right transfer transaction (assignment), loan and other debt obligation collection issues, representation in the court and arbitration court, as well as ensuring cooperation during the procedure of enforcement of court rulings, issues of debtor insolvency proceedings, loan restructuring issues, issues related to construction, purchase, management and disposal of real property, development of draft agreements, bank policies, procedures, instructions and other internal regulatory enactments.
Carried out full scope assistance to Expobank CZ a.s. with financing of acquisition of Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel by Astor Group (Latvia) from PBR Hotel (USA).
Assisted Belgian investment group Straco with the acquisition of the horticulture company AS Greenyard Horticulture Latvia from Greenyard as a part of acquisition of its horticulture segment;
Advising IK Investment Partners in acquisition of Katsastus Group’s operations in the Baltics, Sweden and Poland;
Advised the Ministry of Economics on acquisition of 16,05% of the shares of the natural gas transmission and storage system operator AS Conexus Baltic Grid by the Latvian electricity transmission system operator AS Augstsprieguma tīkls from SIA ITERA Latvija;
Advised the Ministry of Economics on the acquisition of 18.31% of the shares of the natural gas transmission and storage system operator AS Conexus Baltic Grid by the Latvian electricity transmission system operator AS Augstsprieguma tīkls from the German energy company Uniper Ruhrgas International GmbH;
Advising Estonian company 1Home Group AS on acquiring of a student hotel in Latvia and obtaining EUR 8.4 million financing from AS DNB banka;
Advising 20% shareholder of SIA VUDLANDE on buy-out of 80% shareholder of the company - Latvian Timber Ltd. (UK), obtaining 100% shares of SIA VUDLANDE as the result of the transaction;
TGS Baltic assisted Belgian investment group Straco with the acquisition of the horticulture company AS Greenyard Horticulture Latvia from Greenyard as a part of acquisition of its horticulture segment.
